• Studie eis

  Je bevindt je in de masterfase of eindfase van je bachelorfase van de studie Nederlands Recht, of je bent al afgestudeerd, maar je mist nog een brede praktijkervaring. Dan kun je gelijk bij JuroFoon aan de slag.

• De eigen opleiding van JuroFoon

  Nieuwe medewerkers worden niet zomaar in het diepe gegooid. JuroFoon heeft een eigen juridische opleiding ontwikkeld. Doel is het verwerven van gespreksvaardigheden, efficiënt en cliëntgericht te handelen, bijspijkeren van juridische kennis, leren werken met juridische kennissystemen, analyseren van problemen en training van de schriftelijke vaardigheden.

• Selectieprocedure

  De selectieprocedure begint met een sollicitatiegesprek waar we bekijken of we je kunnen toelaten tot onze basisopleiding die begint met een training van een hele (weekend)dag.

  Daarna ga je onder intensieve begeleiding al in de praktijk aan de slag en dien je o.a. zelfstandig enkele juridische modules te bestuderen. De opgedane kennis zal later worden getoetst.

Vacature Legal Counsel Europe (Office Depot)

Position in the organization:

The Legal Counsel will directly report to the VP Legal Benelux.

Purpose of Position:

• Responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements and providing legal support during negotiation with suppliers, customers, partners;
• Handles claims, litigations, settlements, debt recovery matters together with outside counsels (when necessary);
• Checks and monitors compliance with the company’s legal policies and procedures;
• Manages corporate secretarial matters (board and shareholders’ meetings, directors’ appointments, notarisation of corporate documents, etc.);
• Provides legal support on human resources matters (employment agreements, hiring and redundancies, works councils, settlement, etc.);
• Trains operatives and raises their awareness concerning legal matters and the legal aspects of transactions.

Primary Accountabilities:

Contract Negotiation and Review

Assignment:

Responsible for assisting the operations before the contract is formalized. This assistance consists in helping operations to formalize their underlying project and translate it into supporting documentation. It includes verifying the laws, regulations and rules that may apply to the given project/transactions, ensuring that the project corresponds to Office Depot’s guidelines and follow its processes, ensuring that sufficient internal pre-approval are gathered before the project moves forward. This pre-phase is followed by an actual drafting of the contractual documentation or reviewing third party supplied documentation and ensuring that it reflects correctly the understanding and expectations of Office Depot’s operations, that Office Depot’s interests, assets, responsibility are sufficiently protected. This second phase comprises necessarily constant advice to the operations throughout the all period. Finally, assistance and support are provided in getting the documentation finalized (exchange of communications and documents with counterpart’s legal department or operations) and then executed by Office Depot, by the counterpart and correctly filed and recorded in Legal databases.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

You have a Legal Master’s Degree (M.A./M.S.) with special certifications in Business Law and Corporate Law and you have several (three years minimum) years of legal professional working experience in an international company and/or an international law firm. You have an open, dynamic and autonomous personality. You are able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment. Finally you speak and write fluently English.
